Engine-51, respond to 211 Horton Smith Drive. report of a smell of smoke. Engine 51 your time out is 1441

[H.Stanley]

* As we cruise toward the address I look out the window. I see no smoke in the air. We make our turn onto Horton smith and I see people outside pointing. *

" Fire, Engine-51 on Scene investigating. "

* Steve pull up over there, lets see what this is about. He pulls over and turns off the siren. A lady walks up to the engine before we have a chance to get out.*

' Hurry Hurry, he's in there and I think he is dead.'

Me: What? Who?
Lady: Fred. He was so upset and went into his garage. he closed the door and I heard his car running. please help him.
Me: Alright Alright back up.

" Engine-51 to fire. this appears to be a Co Poisoning, start me an ambulance please code 3."

* We all get out and start to get our tanks on. *

[A.Shay]

* I get out of the engine and start getting my gear ready. I get my turnout boat on and throw my air pack on. checking that I have proper air flow I give a thumbs up to the captain showing him I'm ready to go in. *

[H.Stanley]

* As the crew gets their irons and tools to go in I walk up to the garage and bang on the door. *

' FIRE DEPARTMENT, HEY BUDDY OPEN THE DOOR. '

* I try and lift the door but it will not budge. I giver the nod to shay and he pops the front door open with the halligan. We all start heading in. I make my way to the garage where the truck is still running. As I open the door to the garage I see a man in the front seat slumped over. * Shay opens the garage door and I open the drivers side of the truck. I grab the driver and pull him from the vehicle, as Shay gets his feet I get his shoulders and we carry him out of the garage to the front lawn. *

[C.Hock]

* As I take my mask off The guys lay him down. I immediately start to take a set of vitals.

* Cpt Stanley orders an ALS unit and I begin CPR. *

[H.Stanley]

* I See Shay and Hock starting CPR, I walk over to the engine and quickly get on my radio *

" Engine-51 to Fire, Start us an ALS Ambulance "

* I walk over to the side of the engine's compartments and grab the medical kits, Quickly I walk over to the patient and kneel down next to my crew. *

[H.Stanley]

* I look over my shoulder after several attempts by my crew to defib the patient back and see the RA arrive. The crew jumps out and rushes over to us. Quickly they start working on the patient then quickly load him onto their stretcher and into their ambulance. Hock jumps in the back and they start off to the hospital. *

' Well ok, lets pack up and head out Aaron. '

* Once we are done loading up our things I climb aboard the engine and put my head set on. *

" Fire, Engine-51 will be in follow-up to Dominguez. "

* Shay starts the engine and we pull away to go pick up our guy. *
